How do I apply for an apartment?

Applying is easy. Simply visit our website to complete an online application for your preferred apartment home. Once you’ve submitted your application and all required documentation, our leasing team will begin the review process. If you have questions along the way, we’re happy to help.

What lease terms are available?

We currently offer lease terms ranging from 12 to 15 months. Shorter lease terms may be available based on apartment availability. Contact our leasing office for current options.

Can I reserve an apartment before it's available?

Yes. Available apartment homes may be reserved for up to 30 days prior to your move-in date. View our currently available apartment homes.

How long does the application approval process take?

Applications are typically processed within 48 hours after all required documentation has been submitted.

Do you offer discounts to local employers?

Yes. Wallace Park participates in a Preferred Employer Program for select local businesses. Contact our leasing team to see if your employer qualifies.

What floor plans are available?

Wallace Park offers a variety of thoughtfully designed one- and two-bedroom floor plans, including:

  • A1-S
  • A1
  • A2
  • B1
  • B2

Availability changes frequently, so contact our leasing office or visit our Floor Plans section for the latest availability.

How do I schedule a tour?

Scheduling a tour is easy. Book online through our website or call our leasing office, and we’ll help you find a convenient time.

Do you offer virtual tours?

Yes. Virtual tours are available for prospective residents who prefer to explore the community remotely. Our Gallery also features virtual tours.

Do you offer furnished apartments?

No. Wallace Park offers unfurnished apartment homes, allowing you to personalize your space to fit your style.

How much notice is required before moving out?

A 60-day written notice is required before your scheduled move-out date.

What happens if I need to break my lease early?

If you need to end your lease early, you’ll need to provide 60 days’ written notice. An early termination fee equal to two months’ rent will apply, along with any additional lease requirements.

Pricing & Fees

How much is the application fee?

  • Application Fee: $75 per applicant
  • Administrative Fee: $200

These fees are due during the application process.

What is the security deposit?

Standard security deposits are:

  • One-Bedroom Apartments: $250
  • Two-Bedroom Apartments: $350

Conditional approvals may require an alternate deposit amount determined through Jetty.

What is included in my monthly rent?

Monthly rent includes:

  • High-speed Wi-Fi
  • Valet Trash Service
  • Pest Control
  • Community Amenity Fee

Utilities are billed separately.

Are utilities included?

Utilities are not included in your monthly rent.

Residents are responsible for:

  • Electricity through Duke Energy
  • Water, which is individually metered and billed based on usage

Are there move-in fees?

Move-in costs generally include:

  • First month’s rent
  • Security deposit
  • Application and administrative fees
  • Pet fees (if applicable)
  • Monthly amenity fee of $10

Is renter's insurance required?

Yes. All residents are required to maintain renter’s insurance throughout their lease term.

When is rent due and how do I pay?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month with a 5-day grace period.

All rent payments are made securely through Bilt.

Do you offer rent specials?

Yes. Wallace Park regularly offers leasing specials on select apartment homes. Contact the leasing office or check our website for current promotions.

Is there an amenity fee?

Yes. Residents pay a $10 monthly amenity fee.

Is parking included?

Yes. Resident parking is included at no additional charge.

Are storage units available?

No. Wallace Park does not currently offer storage units for rent.

Move-In & Resident Services

What do I need before move-in day?

Before receiving your keys, please provide:

  • Proof of renter’s insurance
  • Confirmation that your Duke Energy account has been established
  • Your initial rent payment through Bilt

Our leasing team will guide you through the remainder of the move-in process.

How do I set up utilities?

Electric service should be established through Duke Energy before move-in.

Can I transfer to another apartment?

Yes. Current residents may transfer to another apartment home within the community, subject to availability. A $500 transfer fee may apply.

How do I submit a maintenance request?

Residents can submit maintenance requests anytime through the RentCafe Resident Portal or the RentCafe mobile app. You can also contact the leasing office during business hours.

Is emergency maintenance available after hours?

Yes. Emergency maintenance is available 24 hours a day.

Call (980) 291-4736 and follow the prompts to reach the on-call maintenance technician.

Do you host resident events?

Yes. Wallace Park hosts approximately three resident events each month, providing opportunities to meet neighbors and enjoy the community.

How are packages handled?

Packages are securely managed through Package Concierge, allowing residents to receive deliveries safely and conveniently.

Do you offer a resident referral program?

At this time, Wallace Park does not offer a resident referral program.

Yes. Residents can enjoy our resort-inspired swimming pool with comfortable seating and outdoor gathering areas.

Are there coworking spaces?

Yes. Wallace Park offers dedicated coworking spaces that make it easy to work remotely or study in a comfortable environment.

Do you provide package receiving services?

Yes. All packages are managed through Package Concierge for added convenience.

Do you offer concierge or lifestyle services?

At this time, Wallace Park does not offer concierge services.

Can residents reserve amenity spaces?

Yes. Select community spaces may be reserved for private gatherings. Contact the leasing office for availability and reservation details.

Do you offer EV charging stations?

No. EV charging stations are not currently available.

Are housekeeping services available?

Wallace Park does not offer housekeeping services at this time.

Can residents receive dry cleaning or package assistance?

No, not at this time.

Are there private dining, wine storage, or exclusive resident experiences?

At this time, Wallace Park does not offer these services.

Do you host resident events and networking opportunities?

Yes. Throughout the year, residents can enjoy a variety of social events designed to help build community and connect with neighbors.

Do apartments include smart home technology?

No. Wallace Park apartments do not currently include smart home technology features.

Are washers and dryers included?

Yes. Every apartment home includes a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience.

What kitchen appliances are included?

Each apartment comes equipped with a complete stainless steel appliance package, including:

  • Refrigerator
  • Electric range/stove
  • Microwave
  • Dishwasher

Do apartments have private balconies or terraces?

No. Apartments do not include private balconies or patios.

Are walk-in closets available?

Yes. Many floor plans feature spacious walk-in closets along with additional storage options such as pantries, coat closets, and linen closets.

Do apartments offer city, water, or skyline views?

Select apartment homes offer views of the surrounding Charlotte cityscape.

Are penthouses or premium residences available?

No. Wallace Park does not offer penthouse residences.

Which floor plans work best for roommates?

Our B1 and B2 two-bedroom floor plans are excellent options for roommates, offering well-designed layouts that provide comfortable shared living while maintaining privacy.

Pet Friendly Living

Is Wallace Park pet-friendly?

Yes! Wallace Park welcomes your four-legged family members and is proud to be a pet-friendly community.

Are there breed or weight restrictions?

There are no breed or weight restrictions. Contact our leasing office for complete pet policy details.

How many pets are allowed per apartment?

Residents may have up to two pets per apartment home.

What are the pet fees and monthly pet rent?

Our pet fees are:

  • One pet: $350 one-time pet fee
  • Two pets: $500 one-time pet fee
  • Monthly Pet Rent: $25 per pet

Does the community have a dog park or pet spa?

No. Wallace Park does not currently offer an on-site dog park or pet spa.

Are there pet-friendly parks nearby?

Yes. Several excellent parks and pet services are located nearby, including McAlpine Creek Dog Park, approximately 8–10 minutes from the community. The park features separate off-leash areas for large and small dogs, open green space, walking trails, and plenty of room for your pet to play and socialize.

Parking & Transportation

Is parking available for residents?

Yes. Complimentary resident parking is available throughout the community.

Do you offer reserved or covered parking?

No. Wallace Park does not currently offer reserved or covered parking spaces.

Is guest parking available?

Yes. Guest parking is available throughout the community for visitors.

Are electric vehicle charging stations available?

No. EV charging stations are not currently available on the property.

What public transportation options are nearby?

Wallace Park is conveniently served by Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) bus routes, making it easy to travel throughout Charlotte and surrounding neighborhoods without a car.

How close is the community to major employers and attractions?

Wallace Park is ideally located in East Charlotte with convenient access to many of the area’s largest employment centers, shopping destinations, dining, and entertainment. Many everyday conveniences are within five minutes of the community, while Uptown Charlotte, Matthews, and major business districts are just a short drive away via Independence Boulevard (US-74) and Interstate 485.
